Dairy mAGic Kit
(appropriate for grades 4 to 8)
There is more to like than milk in this kit with activities and lessons that are all-inclusive and designed to bring the dairy industry to life in your classroom.
This kit provides hands-on experiences for students as they become involved in demonstrating the processes of using milk and acids, enzymes, bacteria, heat, and cold to make cottage cheese, yogurt, and ice cream.
Students will solve logic puzzles, dive into history, and explore some of our economy's top issues.
This kit was developed under the leadership of the Illinois State Board of Education and the Facilitating Coordination in Agricultural Education project. This kit replaces AK-07 Dairy Delights--Good Nutrition from Milk, which formerly was available from ITCS Instructional Materials.
The mAGic (Multidisciplinary AGricultural Integrated Curriculum) Kit Series contains curricula that are multidisciplinary and designed to bring agriculture to life in the classroom. The mAGic kits address Illinois Learning Standards in math, science, English language arts, and social studies.
